Who would do something so terrible?

Certainly not someone like Devon—straight-A student, soccer player with Olympic dreams, more mature than her own mother. But desperation and panic drove her to do what most people can’t even imagine. Now Devon’s in a juvenile detention center charged with attempted murder. If she’s tried as an adult, she faces life in prison. Does Devon deserve that punishment? Your answer depends on whether you believe her story.

"This book was amazing! At first I couldnt understand why Devon did such a thing, and then as the story progressed and gave more insight I understood why. I must say her choice in the last chapter of the book surprised me, but I see why she chose that ending. Overall, phenomenal peice of literature, hoping to see more and read more from Amy Efaw. "

"I love this book! I have to do a Play Bill for a report on it. Im struggling with coming up withactors to be the characters. And i have to make up a new name for it. I was thinking something along the lines of "Dangerous Haven" because there is a program and a law that is named Safe Haven. Amy Efaws website has more info about it if you want to read about it. Its very interesting. I have a friend that is the same age as Devon in the book, 15, and she is preganant. She is really struggling but she has her friends behind her 110%. Anyways, I really like this book. Great details. And the end is so amazing!!!! I give the book a 10! =)"
